The following files may be useful to you for researching the various aspects of Hulme Hippodrome. They include photographs and architectural drawings at different times, measurements and sketches. Note, some images etc may be copyright restricted but can be studied for research.
Notice that –
- in the sketch below that the building has 2 theatres within 3 compartments:
(a) Playhouse (aka Niamos);
(b) Hippodrome; and
(c) Floral Hall and the company offices above the former shops.
- since the 1950s the one building consists of two properties [ (a); (b)+(c) ], each with a different owner, and each property has its own Grade 2 heritage listing.
